Lake & Shoreline Management

Nantahala-owned property includes the lakes, the dams, all land below full lake level, and the land extending 10 vertical feet above full lake level. There are a few variations in the amount of vertical footage owned by Nantahala.

All Nantahala property lines above full lake elevation extend vertically. This means the linear distance varies depending on topography and slope. In most places, Nantahala’s property line is marked with red paint.
